I would let your new boss know just in case you start feeling worse and need to sign off. If it was me, I would reiterate my excitement for the new role but share you recently learned you got covid. I would be transparent and say I feel fine now but will let them know if anything changes. I feel like most workplaces will be understanding. Good luck in the new role!

I’d tell your reporting management know you tested positive yes! Please take the time to heal and recover. Work will be there plus you’re better off knowing now than having to guess later how your new boss and team will react when you’re sick or need to take off. Sorry you are not feeling well. Take care of you ❤️

Anyone else struggle with friendships during covid or in early 30s? Not sure if it’s 1) the challenge of seeing people w/different COVID risk profiles, or 2) the fact that I recently got an SO and most of my friends are still single, but it’s been a BIG struggle. I’m worried I’ll come out of this year with no one left... everyone is in own little bubble. Any advice?

Now that the CDC says no masks needed indoors if vaccinated, is anybody concerned what that means for kids under 12? I’m assuming that the honor system isn’t entirely going to work (I.e., some unvaccinated people will go maskless). I don’t want my 5 and 7 year olds around unvaccinated unmasked strangers, but it’s also a bummer to stop taking them places. Not that I was taking them that many places, but the occasional grocery store, shoe store, etc. seems riskier now.

Alright so there’s a thing called reclaim my status. If you had a reason why you lost status in the last year or two like COVID, baby, new job, etc. You need to submit some basic documentation and they give you that status for 3 months with a DRASTICALLY lower threshold to make the status permanent and even higher tiers are much easier to obtain during those 3 months. Google “reclaim my status Delta”

I feel violated - stepdaughter asked me and my husband to ensure that we’re Covid free prior to traveling to visit her. I assured her we are vaccinated and limit contact with others. A few days later I learned she took her entire family to a sport event where people tested positive for Covid. It seems hypocritical.

Looking for some advice. I’m in very early pregnancy, and thus only my husband and I know. My firm is doing a conference with approximately 50-100 people for two days this month, so I still won’t be telling anyone as I’ll only be about 9 weeks. I’m currently vaccinated, and the conference is requiring anyone unvaccinated to take a PCR test prior to arrival and wear a mask the entire time, but I’m extremely anxious to go given the increased risk of Covid and pregnancy. Should I go?

So I was in contact with someone who got covid ~2 weeks ago. Haven’t vaxxed yet not bc I’m against it but because it’s not available yet due to shortage from where I’m from. Already got tested and came out negative but my housemates insists on doing another week of quarantine in my room. So 3 weeks in total. Is that even necessary?
