Hello! I have a two part question: 1) is it worth it to obtain an SHRM specialty credential if I don’t have the broader SHRM certification? 2) has anyone gotten the People Analytics or Talent Acquistion credential? If so, how valuable was it from a learning perspective? Do you feel it significantly contributed to your knowledge in either area? Thank you!
Has anyone ever had a fundamental difference in opinion with their SO on something important to them? E.g. Getting my MBA is important to me but he sees it as a childish dream. Thoughts?
Does anyone teach CISSP training classes?

Working in Europe temporarily. Have an option to do Executive MBA, it’s around 70-90k Euros for an year. Another option I have is doing part time PhD in Management. Non-MBA Senior associate that got manager promo at big four but also a Sr Program Manager at Amazon. Amazon is still offering better pay even with the manager promo but I have built a strong brand at my consulting firm and have been getting promoted almost every year. Not sure if I should leave knowing I am on partner track and go to Amazon and work hard again to build such a strong brand there too. What do you guys think? I like and am comfortable at my current firm but money wise I’m not happy
I've been working towards a T10 mba since before I graduated from undergrad. Hustled at work to get early promotions and the best projects. This allowed me to go from $60k to $115k TC at 1 YOE. Founded a student org at my UG serving URM and stayed involved after graduating, personally mentoring close to 100 students over 4 years since graduating, and the org itself serving around 2000 URM since its inception. 169V 160Q on the GRE Dinged with no interview at HSW Kellogg Booth last R1 (cont)
I have the Chase Preferred card. Is it worth getting the Chase Reserve? If yes, what makes the $550 annual membership worth it for you?
Can i remove my frustration here? 1. After last round of interview another interview with development team is requested (sick of these interviews) 2. Received an internal offer which is blocked by current project lead stating company policy is to keep 8 week of buffer period (fuck them) 3. Current client don’t want to say what they want instead asking what can the 3rd party vendor offer, we will evaluate and give your requirements (were they sleeping when they signed contract)
here's my prediction. If Biden wins, the media will begin to message the following; -The worst COVID risks and outcomes are to people with identifiable risk factors such as obesity and diabetes. -Most other people who catch it will experience a bad flu. -Many other people who catch it won't even know they have it. -It's not commonly transmitted by touching objects and person to person transmittal is low risk except in close contact. The media will then message that we should; (cont'd)
Hello Consulting moms, I was wondering if anyone moved States after COVID? I live in Virginia (15min from DC) and we’re thinking to move to Texas. Dallas or Austin not sure yet. Any recommendations/advice? My son will be starting Middle-school. 😩 Thank you so much!

I am a background check away from putting in my notice. KEEP grinding if you’re miserable and/or have trouble getting out of bed in the morning. This took a lot of ghosting and interviews+offer letters being taken off the table due to COVID. Stay humble and you’ll be next. Take a midday walk and schedule some coffee meetings to expand your network and stay sane.
