I’m starting the application journey now, with GMAT. I started looking at books and the most commonly available books in my country (not US) are the Kaplan ones. I searched the bowl and saw most suggested books (besides official guides) are from manhattan prep. Should I try and get the manhattan ones instead of kaplan? Anyone here with experience with both? P.S.: If it makes any difference, I don’t know my base score yet (will take the test today, might update later) but my target is 730+
I found none of them were great.... the best was just doing the tests and buying them from GMAT
Use TTP. it’s all online and so easy. Kaplan sucks, trust me.

Of course! Happy to help. For context, I got my score form 660 with no studying to 760
I only used Kaplan and got 730-760 on the practice OG GMAT tests; 730 on the real thing
That’s also good news, thanks!
Friends, have another question now. I just completed the first official practice test on gmac website and it says I got 760 with Q50 and V41 scores. Now I’m wondering if maybe the first test scores are somehow inflated/ questions are easier? Please don’t say weird flex, genuinely curious here 😅
not easier. you are fine. i would buy the extra 4 still. take all 6 and i would be shocked if you didn’t get at least a 730.
I’d do Manhattan GMAT for the quant sections and Veritas for verbal ones. My final GMAT score was a 760 if that helps.
