Agree, comp should be a deciding factor... don’t be undervalued... but I’ve come to learn that a good manager is THE most important factor. (For me at least.) I’ve been to places where they threw money and perks at me but I had terrible bosses. I ended up totally demoralized and anxious. Good managers try to diffuse the politics/BS so you can do your job and enjoy it. Might not always be perfect but you have an ally.
Agree with Account Director. your boss will make or break you. Doesn’t matter the agency. There is Politics in every agency. I don’t play them. I do my job. Thus I keep my job. Frankly it is far easier to succeed in advertising then you think.
Should at least be in the top 2 factors in your decision making process.
No not as number 1 deciding factor but it means you should never ask for below what you think you’re worth
