hey folks, I am going to join Oracle ossi in Hyderabad location. I have never been to Hyderabad, and will be relocating. Please guide on what would be good areas to look for rent. Also, what would be rent like for 2/3 bhk. Ideally my budget for rent would be <25k. Initially I will be going but in future my family will join me once I am settled. Any points to note or any other gotcha to keep in mind ? Please suggest.
Travel question - has anyone been to Riga?

What did everyone think of Tim’s note to staff?
I've worked at the same engineering firm for 4 years. I'm currently making $161k with only a $750 bonus, but excellent vacation (4 weeks, cash out anytime, rolls over indefinitely), 45 hours a week. I have an interview with a recruiter at Guidehouse this week for a Technical Project Manager role. It seems to be focused in the government space and requires a security clearance. What sort of salary and benefits could I expect for this sort of role at Guidehouse?

Are MBAs even worth it? I regret getting mine because I didn’t get a boost from it at work. I suppose every employer is different but it didn’t help me one bit.
I’ve thought about it. What other opportunities would you pursue?
If you are planning for a full time MBA, you should not do a full time job (part time job is ok). Post MBA, generally you will lend up with one designation up (but depends on organisation to organisation).
MBA only useful if you use it strategically. Primarily to pivot to a new job / role (but this should be identified before you even apply) that would have been unattainable without going back to school. Or else the $ amount spent and the lost earnings from a full time do not make it very attractive.
People will comment M7 or bust because those schools have the highest ROI with easily obtainable exits into tech, high finance, or MBB.
No. If you want to keep working, then do a part time MBA. But you will get crushed, very quickly if you work full time and try and do a full time MBA. I did a part time MBA and many nights I was up until 1-2am trying to get assignments done.

KPMG2 not really though, I can write down a number for my pre-MBA salary and then write down a number for my post-MBA salary and quantify the value.
What I can't quantify, but can qualify, is the people I met and experiences I had that I wouldn't have otherwise if I'd kept working those two years. Those specific value-add events don't provide value to anybody else, but they do to me.
