Payment plan, personal loan, early 401(k)/IRA distribution, borrow money from parents, hit on her friends, kited check, fake money order, mail back an empty envelope, credit card advance.
You can also take a 401k loan- no credit check, interest paid to yourself, not reported to credit agencies
Sounds like you should make a budget and a plan.
I didn’t have financial difficulties but I still asked for a payment plan for monies I owed to my firm when I left. They agreed straight away. This was before I left, but I would think you could ask them.
Are payment plans allowed for clawbacks? Genuinely curious

You can ask the firm for a payment plan. I had one.
Had a counselee leave in this situation - they were able to get repayment plan with no trouble.
For clarification, what are your options regarding what? Leaving within your first six months (probation period)?
I already left and now I have to pay it back but I can’t afford it right now.
You couldn't wait the period out? I wonder if they would pursue litigation if you just tossed the letter? Anyone dealt with that?
They definitely do pursue. Minimal legal fees as it is handled in house.
I would send a nice email to them explaining your situation. I did the same with PwC and they wiped it out
