I’m struggling to be productive, and I feel awful about it. I live alone during and the isolation is deeply affecting me. I just learned I have to get surgery, and I’m so scared because of COVID. It’s hard to act like everything’s normal and just work like normal. Anyone else feeling like this?

You are not alone. It’s been a really difficult year for many people. I’m not good at it either. All we can do is be kind to ourselves and each other and do our best.

For all it’s worth, you are probably much safer in the hospital now because all the medical staff has been vaccinated.

Find some thing that relax you. Cut yourself some slack. Let’s hope we are back to mostly normal by this summer.

Good luck with your surgery. Keep us updated.

Yes. It’s common. Give yourself a break and recognize that we are in a unique situation. FaceTime/connect with family or friends regularly. Find a good novel to unwind your mind at nights. Get 8 hrs of sleep and get outside for a walk as much as you can. I hope you feel better!

You’re not alone. Hang in there and all the best for the surgery. Take one day at a time.

Hi Op! What kind of surgery? How old are you? Over 99% of people survive Covid so highly likely it will not impact you drastically even if you were to get it. It’s important to get the surgery out of the way and focus on health, spring and summer are just around the corner and finally life will return to normal somewhat. Hang in there a bit longer, we are all with you and thinking of you!

That still equates 460k US deaths in one year. For context, thats 60k more than the number of US soldiers that died over a course of 6 years during WW2.

There’s also people who survive but suffer from neurological and cardiovascular long term health defects.

Are other schools allowing “quarantine waivers?” Parents sign the waiver so their child doesn’t have to miss school if exposed to covid. They just have to get tested 4 times over the quarantine period. It sounds like they’re not going to be doing contract tracing like last year either (we were in person all last year). No mask mandate either. My children and I will be wearing masks, but I feel that I can’t voice my concerns as a parent because I am also a teacher in the district.

Do people really have to work late night in advertising agency? I'm new to the industry like I graduated a year ago from an average college with some high hopes to dive into a professional agency, working in an average company but thank god I got the job in this Covid crises, yet underpaid and working for atleast 12 to 13 hrs a day, and someday the working hrs surpasses, isn't there any regulatory that can help people like us for our well being? Or help us get money, in return of our health?

My wife was able to get pregnant off oral fertility ....she has PCOS... she took progesterone and letrozole.

Its been 5 months since the baby was born and her period has not gone back to regular cycles - we hoped that the fertility and pregnancy would regulate her menstrual cycle.

Can we artificially create that cycle using progesterone so that she can have a period every month? I wonder if she would ovulate on progesterone alone too in this circumstance. Is anyone regulating on progesterone?
