Don't do anything drastic yet, wait for a bit. This feeling you have now may just be the effect of a long term languishing and bitterness. If you feel like you genuinely don't like the work, then look elsewhere. But patience and contentment are good qualities to develop, as long as the employers don't walk all over you and take advantage.
Employers are good, no complaints there. However, Lack of growth is frustrating. But you make a great point, thank you.

I would consider applying to other jobs if you feel under appreciated. 3 years is definitely not considered a fast promotion.
Arguably, the best time to leapfrog into a new position that you like is after a promotion.
@ human resources--- Please help me understand the comment about leapfrogging. Why is it best to do that right after a promotion? I'm not arguing, I'm sincerely trying to learn.
I felt like this when I was at Wells Fargo. Sometimes the writing is on the walls, when it comes to a company valuing you. If they didn’t have a justification for not promoting you when they should have, it is now clear to them that you’re ok with waiting. I would say see how you like the new role if it is a new role and then take your talents or skills elsewhere.
If that’s the case I would definitely start looking at other companies because something doesn’t sit right with that. We are supposed to bring up talent and help people grow in their careers as leaders. If it takes them that look to promote you and you were already doing the role, then I’d say it’s time to focus on your growth and see what else is out there in your field. My personal goal is to see growth in my career every 2-3 years and I know it’ll slow down as senior as I go but still.
Exact same position but they low balled me.
WhT happened if you don’t mind me asking?
Doing a role for 1.5 years without a formal promotion to recognise that you're actually doing the job, and not giving you a good explanation is being low balled. Start looking.....
