This past year a lot of us started wearing sneakers and athleisure with all the running around we had to do!
Rising Star
Cut off shorts, tank top, flip flops……oh wait, I’m still on vacation mode.
Miss Frizzle
Pants or a maxi skirt and a long tunic with a matching hijab.
For shoes Clark’s or Sketchers.
I try to dress business casual up to professional to role model to my students 1) respect of self 2) respect of the need to step up to be the professional students they are 3) respect for education

Jeans, sneakers, t-shirt. No such thing as “work clothes”
Khakis, button down or a polo shirt with sketchers. I have long stopped wearing ties to work and I never have anything around my neck. Too many years in the Navy and seeing a student grab a teacher by the tie and punch him in the face cured me of the tie. Wedding or funeral is the only time I wear a tie now.
The laminator and the paper cutter have always been an enemy of the tie!
We are allowed to wear jeans any time. However, I usually leggings, tunics or dresses. Most are LuLaRoe. I wear Skechers or Blowfish sneakers most of the time. We are a small rural district so we are really casual.
I've been doing this for over 30 years, so fashion days are gone. We aren't allowed jeans except for fund raising dress down day but I wear Brooks sneakers with a good insole every day. I wear leggings with pockets ( great idea!!) and a tunic top. Comfort is king.
I like ugly, hideous, flowery, shirts and sweaters. I usually wear lots of ruffles. I also keep a pair of pointy glasses and a variety of black slacks just for work. My students honestly don't know who I am outside of the workplace.
Cute chic! I’ll wear a cute teacher-seque t-shirt and wide legged pants are my fav. I need to feel comfortable since we’re running around all day.
With my busy schedule I do laundry like every 3-4 weeks, so whatever is clean and appropriate.

I really like soft clothes so skirts and dresses are staples for me. I also love a good wrap or kimono with comfy sandals.
Sweats, sweatshirts, t-shirts, or shorts… PE teacher life 👌🏼
Pro
Jeans but not blue jeans (camel/khaki or black) with school spirit shirts. I have to wear athletic shoes with orthopedic inserts due foot and back issues. So, I can’t wear dresses like I used to…🥺
When I first started teaching I dressed very professional always except Fridays wore jeans and a shirt with school mascot etc. As I became more seasoned and transitioned to a continuation site I got very laced and wore jeans and a nice blouse. I’m starting a new position at a new school in a different state and I will be back to dressing more professional until I feel it out. I always dress conservatively and in a manner that is s true to myself and the profession. I always rock the Birkenstock’s!
I have a pair of clog Birkenstocks from 2009 when I was in high school. You just gave me an idea! Funny how life comes full circle 😆

Slacks and polo shirts
I also do not have separate “work clothes” except for a logo long sleeve 1/4 zip that I wear on casual days. I do patterned ankle pants, dresses, leggings with tops long enough to keep m’bum covered, and jeans really only on Fridays with school apparel.
Trousers with blouses, school polos, or black t-shirts, sometimes blazers, sweaters, or other layers. I wear fashion sneakers or just black sneakers because I'm on my feet (lol we all are) or sometimes shoes designed for walking. I try to dress up a bit, because I look young and teach high school, and it creates an appropriate boundary.
Cute, but comfortable. If I can’t nap in it, I’m not wearing it.
Slacks and blouse. Skechers, but in black with no ties, so they look professional, but can handle being on my feet all day. Fridays are jeans and school logo T-shirt.
I used to love Sketchers, but the last two pairs I got are not as comfortable, so I don’t kn I w if I’ll be getting anymore. 🙃
