Make a career switch, never too late to do something new
Agree with SA1. Find something you will like better. Hard as hell to be good at something you’re not interested in.
I hear y’all. My problem is I don’t see anything corporate related as a career. I would have to start over
I feeelll youuu OP. I feel like everything I like is music, books, reading, art, working out and traveling. Meaning not labor lol.
10 years ago, I left the Navy with no college degree and no experience in the field I currently work and love. Now I am making over 200K a year, have a BS and an MS, and I generally love life. 10 years ago I was making 18.50 an hour starting in my field. Starting over sucks, but... it was the best thing I ever did. I sucked it up, even had to move my family into my in-laws for a period of time when I couldn't afford rent. It's never too late to try something new. My father is only a couple of years away from retirement and he just picked up a new job doing DevOps work on Azure, because he wasn't very happy at his last job. Never give up, never surrender.
If it requires starting over, take a pause and think once more. If you think the restart can help, than go for it!
Agreed with all of the above. That said work ethic is something you can control. And if a new environment will make that easier then it’s worth considering to make the switch

You’re just in the wrong job. That’s all it is
You sound like you are depressed and it’s so common these days. Have you thought about talking to someone or even just discussing your current headspace with your PCP? Find out why you feel the way you do and take steps to resolve.
