I’m the junior at a company that loves to fall back on sex sells type marketing. I was tired of the cheap strategy before I started in the career and I definitely hate it now. Is it ever going away?

If he leaves, when you enter a serious company that respects marketing management as it should be, that kind of thing is basically prohibited, be patient, and if you can change jobs, do it.

smart

I do not understand what the companies that use these strategies are based on since sexist campaigns are widely repudiated by the masses, that is, you can achieve one or the other follower but there are more who will see you as a bad example.

It is a reliable strategy to have a horrible business image but still achieve sales, it is like the dark book of marketing.

The best thing you can do is change the industry because although it sounds ugly, there are certain types of brands that must resort to this type of strategy in a unique way because it is more difficult for them. I recommend you change companies as soon as you can.

Strategies based on sex are becoming more elaborate, recently a rather controversial strategy used by Balenciaga came to light, where he uses children to show sexual things and hidden messages,

Sometimes it is necessary but if it is done in a professional and elaborate way you can sell in the right way, many clothing brands mainly do it, but it is something so subtle that it does not cause problems, but when it is done in a crude and dirty way it does not anything positive is accomplished.

It's like being a journalist and working for tabloid newspapers, it's a way of dirtying your professional development, I went through the same thing as you, and the first opportunity I had to get out of there I did, even for a lower salary, but professionally I felt offended.

The four easiest marketing themes: Anything “free,” babies, puppies, and sex. If marketing is choosing one of the above, then there’s a deeper issue. It sounds as if the organization lacks an underlying strategy and is expected to perform immediately. Take some time, develop concepts, marinate, test, then deploy. I bet you the junior is doing what’s easiest and can learn to build strong, impactful campaigns if time is given to grow.

No, I think unfortunately it’s a default strategy

It works. With that being said, it's beginning to work less as views towards bodies and objectification become more progressive. I don't think it's ever completely going away, but I can see us moving away from it as the default.

Hello fellow designers!

I was laid off back in August and I have been trying to get a product/UX/UI job ever since then. With the recession and all of the crazy things that are happening right now it has been even harder.

Is anyone hiring a mid-level Product/UX/UI designer?
I have 3 years of experience as a UX/UI Designer and I am available to start working immediately! (Remote work is preferred since I live in Phoenix, AZ and there are not a lot of tech jobs here)

TIA ♥️

Welcome to our pre-k inclusive classroom. Even with 8 students, and only face to face for 4 hours, we struggle. We struggle being heard through our masks. We struggle with social distancing. We struggle as we find ourselves constantly reminding students to keep their masks on. We struggle to keep them engaged and to teach. One thing we do not struggle with- building connections and showing out love for each child.

Curious how other marketing teams like to share resources internally. I'm considering creating a centralized hub where departments can access news, branding information, logos, premade materials and basic templates like letterheads. I'd also like to be able to give specific users access to specific things (ie I don't want everyone to have the logo vector).

Any suggestions or thoughts? Know any software for this? My instinct is just to build a website or page with logins, but open to options!
