Don’t be a hero, it’s not gonna help …. Talk to people, be human, you’ll be a better leader if you know how to be vulnerable!

I get you. I feel like people can be very weird when you talk to them about your mental health. I am like an open book! Maybe it’ll help someone else open up. But I notice sometimes people don’t know what to say back even to something simple like “I’ve recently started seeing a therapist and it’s been great!” I talked to my SO about it and he said sometimes people probably just don’t know what’s appropriate to say back or how “deep” they should go into the conversation with you. He also said some people are just really weird about hearing others’ feelings 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’m just going to keep being an open book

I think it’s less that you need to talk about it less or differently, and more that people need to learn or be taught how to respond compassionately to when people express mental concerns or struggles

Health question: Does anyone else suffer from nerve pain in their butt/hips from sitting all day? My research tells me it’s piriformis pain. It means my sit bones are irritating my butt muscle, which irritates my sciatic nerve. It can be excruciating and hurt even when I stand. I bought a fancy seat cushion for my office chair, and I have a standing desk. Nothing helps. The pain has been around for about a month. Anyone else?? What did you do?
