I’m thinking about a transition from Biglaw, but I don’t really know what I’d like to do and I’m worried I’ll just get stuck with less money and no increased satisfaction or flexibility. Any ideas?

If you don't definitively know what you want to contribute to the world, and build a career in, I would focus on figuring that out first before taking the plunge.

Been there done that.

Pros: work-life balance.

Cons: less salary, less challenging work, more bureaucracy, sometimes dealing with a lot more idiots.

I am currently working as a paralegal in a small/mid sized firm where compensation as far as salary is limited. Recently I have decided to leave and have started doing initial interviews with very large firms.
