My boyfriend is interviewing for a BDR role at SF (in Indiana). What’s the PTO for this position? My friend is getting married in Mexico this summer, and so we are wondering if he would be able take time off for that. He doesn’t know if there will be a good time to bring this up during the interview process so I’d figured I would ask on here.

Thanks for starting this bowl. One of the things I find challenging is making small talk with coworkers about holiday plans etc, when you’re forced to explain that you’re not spending holidays with your family. They then launch into some “well-meaning” advice about life being too short and me only having one family. It’s hard to resist the urge to point out that this was not a decision I took lightly, and that they are severely out of turn. I’m tired of smiling and nodding 😒

My lady is currently an associate attorney at a big law firm where she’s been since March of 2021. Starting last year around August, attorneys in her office have been dropping like flies. Leaving all the way to the point that she’s the only associate attorney handling cases in her department. With that happening, she’s having to handle way more work than any associate should be handling with the expectation of near perfection still being required along with any ad-hoc work that comes up. To all the new teachers out there- the most important thing you can learn is classroom management. I’m working with someone who doesn’t quite get it. Often lessons devolve into chaos. It seems to be as long as the kids are enjoying it - then it’s ok. You also need to learn is to help out - to help set up, help pick up, help in whatever ways are needed. Don’t wait to be asked. Put down the freaking phone and pay attention! Finally, try to learn from your coworkers. You don’t know it all!
