Was approached by agency for a Business Analyst contract role at Amazon. I’ve heard about not applying for warehouse/fulfillment roles as a way to get in to Amazon as an FTE but what about entering Amazon as a contractor? The plus is it’s remote, the contract rate is better than what I’ve been solicited at and I’m no where near Amazon headquarters or any of their regional offices. This is on the Transfer Pricing Accounting team.

3 weeks isn’t too much. Seattle has several neighborhoods to check out. You can also add Victoria, Canada, Olympia National Forest, and the San Juan islands to day trips/overnight trips. Plus Walla Walla and Willamette Valley if you like wine.

Depends if you wanna hike or not. There’s years if not decades of it out here.
Vancouver and Portland aren’t day trips. I would stay overnight if you could. They are both about 3 hours (6 hours round trip) drive. Not including traffic and going through the border. I would give yourself more than 3 weeks if you want to see all that stuff, especially if you have to actually do some work! ;)
Second this, 3 hours on a good day to Portland with all the traffic. Worth it, but make it a long weekend.
3 weeks is not enough! I’d recommend at least 6 if you can swing it.
If you’re not planning to take any weekdays off I’d do longer than 3 weeks, but given the long daylight hours in summer you could definitely get some good Seattle activities in during the weekdays after work (short hikes off 90, some neighborhood exploring & restaurants & things that are open in evenings, etc.) and then do the longer trips to Portland / Vancouver / islands in the sound / national parks / etc. on weekends.
If all you have is 3 weeks you should definitely do it and do what you can, but weigh the drive times vs the importance of some of the longer trips to maximize your time in the area - ex. Portland & Vancouver are each 3-4 hours one-way depending on traffic.
Ditto that. I’d plan at least 3 months if you can, assuming you’re the outdoorsy type!
Love all the advice, I would hard pass on Portland and take the fast ferry up to Victoria BC from downtown.
Or do bainbridge and do deception pass
Longer. I’ve been here 6 years and still exploring.
Try to hit up the north cascades (ex: hike colchuck) and Leavenworth, if Portland stop by cannon beach.
Mount Rainer (ex: tolmie peak or the main hiking area). A hike near snoqualmie / baker national forest.
Other: Vancouver takes a while to get to. San Juan islands via ferry. Olympic national park (hike near lake crescent).
😂 ok I’ll trust you since you work for Jassey baby and I am terrible with geography
