I'm thinking I should add some specific covid safety procedures to my syllabus. Has anyone done this and is willing to share?

Before you spend your time, I am certain your district and school will have very specific rules regarding masks. For instance, my So Cal middle school has already sent out info for parents who have chosen the option of full time at school their child is required to wear a mask while in class, no excuses or second chances. So while I agree you’ll need guidelines, you may want to directly copy your school’s plan. Good luck!

It will be that ONE INFECTED STUDENT who doesn’t follow the “rules” and that’s all it takes!!! Why play Battleship with our lives!???

Ladies, I need… perspective. Last night, my husband essentially asked me to “get fit” for him and to do “beauty and maintenance things” with him in mind and not only for me. For reference, im 5’3 145-150 lbs (size 4-6?) and admittedly, I have gained the pandemic 20 since this started like 1.5 years ago. It hurt to have this man essentially say, you need to look better for me. Am I wrong here? Do I just not see that he’s right and I should be doing these things for him?

If you had COVID and lost your sense of smell, how long did it take to come back? My wife is on day 6 of being unable to smell or taste anything and it's really getting to her. I feel terrible for her, but when I try to look up how long it takes the estimate ranges are huge, so just wondering if I can get a ballpark figure from others who have had it.

I feel like I'm the only teacher in my school who is concerned about covid. Am I alone?

Long post alert. Also, confusing post alert haha. So, I'm going to be divorced in the next few months and have 2 kids who'll be with me. Ever since this situation has been finalized, I'm becoming very conscious of our spend & have been tight about it. Covid has helped. But I noticed that even my grocery store bills are pretty high...like a single run to Meijer is $125+. Costco is like $200 or so. We've always had fresh fruits, nuts liberally used in our house. Hi mamas , has anyone shopped recently for 3row SUVS or minivans? With the Covid new normal we’re finally giving in and getting a car this summer, and want something that feels comfortable with 2-3 adults + 2carseats. I haven’t owned a car since high school, and also never in New England, so have a bit of a steep learning curve. Would love any suggestions, esp. if you love what you have! Currently considering the Chrysler Pacifica AWD (2021), Subaru Ascent, Honda Pilot, Mazda CX-9...

FRIENDSHIP problems. Me and my best friend’s relationship drifted far apart during Covid where we don’t talk anymore. Nothing happened, just lack of effort. We used to be inseparable sisters. I tried making the effort to talk, but all I would get is short fake texts. I’m worried that I won’t have any friends or BFF to stand by me at my wedding. My circle of friends to talk/connect is getting smaller. I used to have a lot of friends but now not so much, I’m 27.

My friend is thinking about doing her bachelorette party in Sept either in LA or Denver - any suggestions for what to do? Also do you think it’ll be safe to travel then with covid vaccine rollout? Interested to hear what’s open in LA right now and what you think will be open then with covid vaccines

I don’t know who needs to hear this.....but just because you are allowed to travel to places like Puerto Rico and Mexico it doesn’t mean you should go. They don’t need people from the U.S. with unreliable COVID test results vacationing there. Their care system is near capacity. Don’t be selfish!!!

My wife doesn't work, been out of work for 6 months (this is job 5 in 4 years), and I feel incredibly overwhelmed being a sole income household and trying to move to CA and buy a house. I've asked her to get a job so many times, expressed my needs, had heart to hearts without any change. She says she can't because she is too stressed out to work. I don't know what to do.
