I’m thinking of looking for a side gig that can be done from home and have read some things regarding medical transcribing. Has anyone here tried this and have thoughts on whether taking the training courses are worth it? Is it hard to get work once you complete the courses and get certified?

Good Morning! I have an employee who’s been with us 6 weeks. Training process usually is about 8-12 weeks to be fully up to speed. This employee has already called off sick 4 days since start date. I have an am meeting block and came into 6 messages asking if this person would be working this weekend as planned, so I asked what the plan was from them. Immediate response was that I am abrasive and don’t make them feel valued. Keep in mind nothing medical was disclosed prior. What should I do?

What is the best objective source for determining whether to get the COVID 19 vaccine? Looking for sources and raw data and documentaries. I’m not looking for opinions I am looking for references to a variety of medical authorities. I have masked up this whole time but admittedly have not done any research other than what I heard in the news. Has anyone had a vaginal birth and had their doctor clear them after more than 6 weeks? My company pays 100% of maternity leave if for medical reasons, but the rest is unpaid. Wondering if there is any way I can get more than 6 weeks. After my last kid I didn’t even feel semi normal until 6 months, and I can’t imagine going back to work after 6 weeks. I’m torn. I just got a nice offer at MSFT. A good 30% bump and much better WLB. I’m married with toddler. Current firm I’m a rising star. Likely to get promoted /w same TC. Huge executive presence. Helped firm to win partner tech awards. I was recognized individually as well. What prompted to look was I’m sick of client delivery. It would be nice to be on the other side and coast but I’m scared I’m leaving too much on the table at current firm. Current pace I’m mentally exhausted and not happy.
