I’m torn between opportunities. A threat intel analyst role vs. a cyber strategy / advisory role (more executive-level engagements like maturity assessments, wargaming). I understand how different these are, just interested to hear other takes of pros/cons for each including career trajectory and industry trends. TIA!

Just make sure you don't get bamboozled and the cyber strategy ends up becoming controls work lmao

👆this all day, double check not an IT audit role in disguise

Intel for the soul, strat for the cash.

If you're satisfied with the comp trajectory at the intel role I'd take it.

Intel will make you better informed as an advisor later in your career. Threat informed defense > maturity against NIST or another benchmark

Copywriting or Art Direction? A question I truly wish was answered in portfolio school.
I wish I could be a hybrid, but partners don’t want that typically, and people won’t hire hybrids.
I’ve been told many times in school from teachers and peers that I had the skills to be a copywriter too if I wanted to. I felt like if I did that, I’d be wasting my talent for visuals and my knowledge of programs... so I stuck with AD. Still very involved in the conceptual stages (which is my strong suit)...

I have a question, I got a contract role through a recruiter. Initially the recruiter offered the hourly pay rate which was the minimum in my range. Now I got an offer from the company. Now without me asking her she increased the hourly wage to the maximum range I asked. Which makes me doubt if the company increased it or she knew the rate all along but gave me the lower rate ?

i am a 22, Got a role as Sde in startup, pay is good, but everyone focuses in work. i try to be social but others don't.
My college friends are all allocated different places and its tough to meet them.
i feel very lonely.

I am motivated by being social, else I don't have any motivation to work.

So, I was thinking whether I prepare for Gate so I can enjoy the life of student again or for other good top companies.

Advice plz! I was offered an L4 non-tech Denver role at Google. I gave a number of 250 TC & said a sign-on bonus was important. Recruiter sent it to Comp & I went on vaca. When I came back, I saw a chat that the 1st number came in at 215 TC (no breakdown given) & she requested a revision & believed 235 was the best & final amount. I had no say in the revision. A few hours later, she got the “best & final offer” & we have a meeting tomorrow to discuss. What should my approach be?

I think I bombed a case interview with Chartis for an associate consultant position. The case was in excel and required me to manipulate the data via share screen with the interviewer. I couldn’t get some functions to work and was struggling to go through the 16 page PDF of data. I had several answers correct but needed to walk through the remaining questions with some guidance. My other 3 case interviews went well and I had great conversation with the partner for behavioral interview. Thoughts?

Hello everyone! I need some guidance if you can share some. I do presales and I'm excited how most tools are finally embracing APIs. I don't have a dev background. That means I am becoming obsolete.
What do you recommend to close the knowledge gap?
Straight learn dev?
Learn JavaScript focusing in API?
Learn TypeScript focusing in API?
Lean Python scripting than API?
