Do a guided tour of Edo castle in Kyoto. So cool and informative.
If you can make it up to Hokkaido, Abashiri has a prison museum. There's also an iceberg/glacier tour (not sure if it runs in the timeframe you're going). There's the instagram famous wisteria tunnel and those rolling hills with the multicolored rows of flowers. Hell's Valley is also in Hokkaido and has monkey hot springs and an eerie, foggy hike. Going off of the creepy vibe, you can try hiking Aokigahara (suicide forest) at the base of Mt. Fuji. Could also ride camels on the sand dunes in Tottori
(2 of 2) into booking ahead of time (as opposed to general tourist spots which I’ve already got planned out). Some examples from my last trip that were great:
- Kabuki show
- Sumo wrestling in Osaka
- Yamazaki distillery tour
- JR railway tour
- Team borderless (new - doing this time)
Thanks for your help!
