Friday! Last work day of the week!
Hi ladies! So I’m an Indian female and I’ll be FaceTiming a man my parents have found in the next couple weeks. My parents have been very understanding and are open to me dating someone I meet on my own as well. However, due to the pandemic it’s been hard to do that so I’ve agreed to meet this person. It will be my first time virtually meeting a “marriage prospect”, compared to a regular date. Do any of you have tips on what to assess during the first meeting? How to even approach the convo?
I have a junior who is pregnant, she hasn’t announced her pregnancy yet to the wider team and she hasn’t asked me for a lighter workload, but I do feel guilty sending her more work. I want to make things easier for her. Am I approaching or managing her appropriately?
What is one big positive and one big negative aspect that you think is unique to your firm?
Transitioning from junior in house at a very small company where I only did small easy contract review to a large multinational corporation in a few weeks, and have those weeks off. Does anyone have any book recommendations I can read until then that actually offer good insight and helpful tips?!
I didn’t learn that much on the business side and I love reading, so seems like a good idea to relax while also preparing a bit.
What's one amazing thing you've seen happen in your classroom or school recently?

Time to decide between H and W 😬. Ivy+ UG and MBB, with a strong interest in retail or real estate. Currently leaning W due to strength in both. SO is also located in NYC, which makes things a lot easier.
If i am serving NP till 31st August 2022, will I be eligible for complete bvp?

Any tips on when to object to the form of a question when defending a deposition?
I’ve watched other attorneys defend and it seems like there’s a form objection to nearly every question, but still not all of them, so there’s SOME sort of analysis that goes into it, but no one I’ve asked has been able to explain to me what that thought process is, other than that you nearly always object.
Does anyone have any recommendations for software or other methods to track projects? I'm looking at the One Note to do and it seems helpful, but right now the volume of projects in expecting seems to be so large that I think something more advanced would be helpful. My GC also expects a weekly meeting to catch up on everything I'm working on, so obviously want to be prepared for those.

If you wanna find a wife you should date me. All my ex’s got married right after they left me/I left them. 🤡
Just found out another one is getting married in the next 6 months after I broke up with him coz he was afraid of commitment. Lol
Yes, I’m salty.
Edit: just wanna add I don’t regret breaking up with him, but I’m wondering why I’m not yet married. Lol
Really dislike it when people use the words:
Respectfully, truthfully, honestly
Esp respectfully and in that order.
It all just sounds like a cover, not even sincere
I think my boyfriend and I are playing a game called “whoever talks first loses”. My excuse is tax season; what is his? 😁
I find it hard for me to take a compliment. I gloss right over it, and don’t know how to react.

Immigrant here who did not grow up with typing lessons. I still type very inefficiently — I have to look at keys when I type.
Has anyone used a typing program as an adult that has taught you well and got you out of old bad typing habits?
What was your pre-training speed, your post-training speed, and the time it took you to get there?
Thank you so much! I need to be more efficient and quiet when I type.

Confession: I want a “Brain Dump” partner.
It was explained to me that at the end of the day you have a sit down with your partner/roommate/friend and “brain dump”—talk about anything that happened during the day, at work or personally that bothered you or happened so that you can get it all out before you go to sleep. Then you can start fresh each day. 😊 just thought I would share!
I have a friend coming over today and I’m making a charcuterie board for the first time. I’m having anxiety about it loll. I have a desserts board and a cheese and meats board. Shopping for all the items alone took forever and now setting them up seems like a huge challenge. Tips?
To the guy that just deleted his post - you're right. An MBA ranked around 100 has a miserable ROI and is only a good option for people that need a box checked, not for people hoping to change careers
Ugh. It’s so hard being this hot *flips hair*
thought id have a cocktail while starting the night portion of work - i accidentally got a little too drunk and now im spacing out lolololol
What’s your biggest aha moment this year?
I love Thanksgiving. I love food , family and football.
Please like my picture if you love Thanksgiving
Lol please tell me I’m not alone in this. I can WFH and not eat all day and my stomach is nice and calm. As soon I go into the office, at 11am my stomach is like “lemme embarrass you in front of these people and start making these feed me growls” 😩😩😩😭😭😭😭

Girl, relax. I felt like you when I turned 25 and now I’m about to be 30 and feel like life is really just beginning! Richer, sexier, more confident, and smarter than I was at 25. It was rough for a minute at 27 🥴 but we rebounded and I look forward to this next phase of life. You’re gonna be alright!
41F here, and turning 40 was quite possibly the most liberating event of my life so far. You’re still a baby! Get out there and live it up!
31M, still working on not giving Fs to everyone.
No when you turn 25 covid hits 2 months later and you have to stay inside for 2 years
Bullshit. 40 years old now, much more fun than in the 20s (even though they were fun back then too)
I promise it will get better.
Just think, you survived a pandemic and worse than that, a one-term Donald trump presidency during the beginning of your twenties.
Give yourself credit for getting through those horrific events.
Once trump’s mess is fully cleared up things will get better.
DeSantis is like a smart Trump. They all wanted a dictatorship, it just depends how it is packaged.
You’ve still got a lot of screwing up to do
You’ll be fine!
What kind of mistakes? If you don’t mind me asking lol
I’m 32 and feel like I’m entering the best stages of my life! Grateful for my 20s but I’m feeling much more stable, financially secure, in touch with myself, healthy, the list goes on.
You got this!
From 25 to 30, things only get better. After 30, meh…
What? F, 39, and I am hitting my peak. Just keeps getting better!
I got hotter after 25 and then smoking hot after 30. It gets better if you try 💗
M4 bringing the summer on 🥵
29 here. Honestly the only part worse about my late 20s are the hangovers. 22 year old me would be ashamed 😆
I feel like 25 is where people start to turn into actual adults.
Yeah I used to not get hangovers until I was 27 and now I’m like, 🤕 I overdid it last night.
I started working at 24, so I was just basically broke till 25. Did a lot between 26-30 including a great job and a not so great divorce. In my mid 30s moved across the globe coz I was bored of the monotony. Found the love of my life at 38 and been with him for almost 3 years now.
So my dear sister, life is beautiful - live it fearlessly. Age is just a number. Your amazing journey has just begun.
I needed these comments. I’m turned 25 too and have been having a quarter life crisis and insomnia at night because I fear getting old. Thank you all ☺️
Sometimes I think two deviations left of the mean would be nice.
It got more challenging and better in my story.
Mid 20s was the best time of my life. Your salary slowly gets to a good point, and you meet a lot of great ppl while your body is still st 100%. Enjoy what‘s ahead!
Everyone has a different story!
But I would say that in my experience I was becoming more like an adult towards the end of my twenties lol. Getting a good salary, getting promoted, saving up for a house, getting married, not getting drunk every single weekend and enjoying being at home! I love it ♥️ Only downside to it is that I started having horrible hangovers 🥴
Definitely is another stage of life where the priorities are different.
I turned 30 this year and I was terrified of turning 25 when it happened. But it gets so much better. You will start to feel so much more sure of yourself and more confident of who you actually are. I’ve never felt more like myself and more certain of the person I am and the person I am becoming as I did when I hit 30. You have so much more ahead of you to be worried about 25. Life can get a little boring because of work and routines, but it doesn’t have to be boring! You just have to make sure you don’t get too comfortable and choose just to exist. It’s only boring if you make it boring! And your hangovers will get increasingly worse each year, but there’s no advice I can give to fix that. That part 100% sucks.
I'm turning 27 this year and have never felt happier!
25 is when I started taking being an adult a little more seriously, which comes with its ups and downs! I started taking dating more seriously, (now 28, just married!)
Started taking my career more seriously, and realized I wanted to get an MBA. I definitely started having less nights out and less free time, but started feeling more fulfilled and less like I was just floating around in life waiting for things to happen.
Late 20s/early 30s is awesome, but frankly life if what you make it no matter what your age.
My late 20s were way better than my early 20s.
Continue to invest in yourself and you will find life improves rather than degrades.
