Hi All,
Need suggestions here. Please help me out. I was interviewed with IBM and got selected. Waiting for offer letter. Meanwhile got selected in another company and got offer too. Put down my ppr. Offer from another company is way beyond than IBM almost 22% more in terms of fixed. Now I’m confused that once IBM releases their offer then should I ask them to match with my holding or not ? Will they consider for negotiations? What’s your thoughts? IBM

Are you in audit? If so, the decision is probably not made. You need to be your biggest advocate - why do you want this and deserve it. And make sure people know you want it and why you deserve it.
In regards to the senior - it’s pretty simple to tell him to consolidate his questions - that’s normal. However, I would say I’m finding more and more discrepancy in levels working together. I just worked on a huge project with an A2 only (I’m an experienced director). At the end of the days I was literally wiped out by the questions but I tried to tell myself that as difficult it was for me, it was probably equally difficult if not more for an A2 to work directly with a director.

If you are “time in grade” and decent at your job there is a 90% success rate at getting promoted. Don’t stress. If this is an early promotion, one year in the grand scheme of a 40 year career is really not a big deal and not worth the stress.
As for the senior…all managers have different styles so just tell him yours. I’m with you - I hate getting ad hoc pings constantly asking random questions while I’m trying to focus on something else. Might want to have a 15 minute call in the morning and a 15 minute call at the end of the day where he can fire off questions. But you can’t blame him unless you communicate your style.
