In 2007, I started with a cohort of just UG folks here (I had 2.5 yoe then) Salary was $65k. I was over the moon. How did that compare to consulting salary from that time? I was in engineering.

Generally, what are people typically paying for manager level talent (people management level, but not hard sales metrics/senior manager level; whatever the titles are in your orgs) in the federal govcon space right now? I am seeing some pretty uninspiring numbers from places like GT/EY (like $110-130) and better numbers from Deloitte GPS/AFS ($140-160+). Obviously this will vary on skillets and projects, but I'm curious what people think.

A client developer group just told me they reached terms to “buy equity in a lease.” From what they’ve told me, if we were setting this up fresh, I’d do a new LLC and easily handle capital contributions, buy-sell, etc. in the new LLC agreement. However, here the partner had a long-term lease on the underlying RE that our group wants to develop as a concept. Lease assignment to new LLC is dicey, but I’m thinking maybe we set up a Mgmt services company to contract w/ the partner-tenant entity?

How to discuss higher salary based on change in expected work hours per week

Head of my department, have 6 yoe. 2 of those as a manger with 3 direct reports. I manage 3.5M in vendor contracts and am the administrator for all of the tech apps. Which requires me to have SME knowledge of each app. The main part of my job is managing our ATS (design/build/maintenance)and the imps for any integrations we add,automations,candidate engagement. other hats around marketing,strategy, and ops process development. Thoughts on fair comp? Or how to categorize?

I recently (within 6 months) transitioned to a new role at my job which was supposed to be a promotion. But they've just been having me audit and haven't finalized my new job duties. They said they have plans but that I'll be auditing for several more months. I'm about to have my performance review and just received a job offer at another company. Is there a good way to leverage this respectfully? I ultimately want an action plan for growth, a concrete job description, and a pay increase.

I am a senior dental ceramist and I am getting downward wage pressure from potential dental labs. I tell them my number and it is keeping with the top wage offered in their advertising but the labs seem to collude with each other with the salaries offered. The more I interview the more undesirable the jobs become- “we are a 6 on quality” ugh who wants to work for a 6?!? “We misclassify workers as independent contractors”. “We insist you punch out for lunch or be docked 45 minutes punitively”.
