Hi, I am having 1year and 3months of experience and Thoughtworks has offered me application developer - consultant graduate role with 11.1lpa as CTC(including that 1.5L benefits). They just sent me the salary breakup after I cleared my interviews. So can I negotiate on the compensation or is it strictly same for everyone having less than 2 yrs of experience/hired at consultant graduate designation?

Hi! I’m an hr coordinator on a contract. They want to extend my contract, but I was hoping for a perm role, which was supposed to happen. But business changed and that’s not going to happen now. I really need a perm role for benefits, job security, etc. Would you stay with the hopes of a perm role within the next year? I really like this company, just not sure I should hold out, especially since I’ve been going above and beyond my job description. What would you do?

I want to join Oracle for its brand, but Amadeus on the whole provides better benefits than Oracle like transportation, food facilities and better hikes. Is it true hikes in Oracle are terrible?

Can you please let me know about the health insurance coverage amount ( senior manager position ) as it is not mentioned in offer letter.

401k loan for first house. Taking $20k to go towards down payment and closing costs. Option 1 is a “personal loan” with up to 72 month payback. Option 2 is “home loan” up to 30 years. With the monthly payments, I lean towards Option 1. Any cons to this other than it impacting my DTI when they see these debt payments on bank statements for mortgage pre-approval? I plan on having the loan sit in savings to “season” for a few months. Does this make sense? I appreciate insight! ☺️

I was promoted to manager in Jan but received an offer with a 35% salary increase and much cheaper health insurance outside the firm. I am 85% sure I’ll take the offer, but wanted to see if anyone could think of acting I may be missing out on by leaving? Has anyone had a vaginal birth and had their doctor clear them after more than 6 weeks? My company pays 100% of maternity leave if for medical reasons, but the rest is unpaid. Almost 3 years into a position as a “technical engineer” that does both project management work and design work. During my career planning discussions I’ve been asked whether I want to go down the manager side of engineering or the technical/design side. Wondering what advice you have for making this decision. Have any of you made a switch after working for a few years? When I started undergrad I wanted to work with renewable energy. Not at all disappointed to be in aerospace but I want to explore a pivot. Something like wind or wave power seems like it would be much riskier but also has more room for innovation.

I currently design plumbing, HVAC, and Fire Protection. I'm the only one in the company performing Hydraulic calculations for fire protection. In the company I am the most proficient in using Revit software and have been assigned as the BIM Manager for any problems involving Revit. This is my first ever engineering position in my life and I have been with them for a little under 4 years. I currently make 72,000 a year. I just passed my PE Exam for Fire Protection. What should be my salary now?
