I’m working as a graphic designer right now as I failed to get into an extension from my UX UI intern and get an entry job. I am planning to take spring board UX bootcamp this coming month to improve my skills. Is there a “closer” job position I can apply for in order to get closer or get experience to get into UX?

I’ve been approached my by company (software) that one of our large clients (who im currently project managing for) is looking for a consultant of sorts, and if they hire us, I’d be the first person asked to take on this consultant role. This isn’t something my company typically offers and would greatly change the scope of my role. Has anyone ever taken on a role like this? I'm currently working for a fintech firm as SQL Developer which has got me into a toxic working culture(zero support from colleges) with no learnings so far.

I need some thoughts on what to ask for a starting salary. My background is ten years in tech support, and currently Lead Graphic Designer for my department with about four years of graphic design behind that. I also just finished my master's degree in Human Computer Interaction design (and was among the top in my class). Does quitting a agency 9-5 to go freelance temporarily look bad on a resume? Times are uncertain but if I quit tomorrow and ended up looking for another agency job in 6 months would that be a turnoff to future employers?
