I’m working on a project for a California office. Any California HR team members know if there’s a great website (ideally government/official) that outlines employer requirements for California, such as policies/notices required to provide to employees, employment law, etc etc? Thanks!

I use CALChamber's HR California. You have to pay to be a member, but even if I only call their experts once a year, it's worth it.

Second this! I used them and they have great resources and have a hotline I called on multiple occasions to ask questions and they were super helpful! Also went to a couple workshops/trainings on HR compliance for California that were great.

Hello All
I have 6.10 YOE. I have been working with TCS for the last 2 months as an ITA. The problem is, I have been assigned into the internal project where I'm not interested to work into it. I was not informed when I asked HR during onboarding time. She said that will be disclosed when I joined the organization. As I have recently joined this organization, I really don't want to move out of this organization but wanted to move out of internal project. Please suggest me a suitable option.

Next year, there will be an important deadline for the project I'm working on and my resignation could be critical for the team, how would you deal with it?

Joined Blind over a month ago, and what an eye opener it has been. Tech salaries are insane. Even with the recent tech pull back and layoffs, some of the comps are on a whole another level. Friends in tech say, most layoffs have involved non-engineers (sales,HR, Ops,mrktng etc). Dudes in their late 20s pulling in 350k+. Unreal.

And then I look at my TC/bonus and a sense of disappointment washes over me. Short of becoming a partner, I don't think I can pull these numbers that tech bros post up.

I'm a new first year associate, almost two weeks in. Have to ask: is it normal to have almost no idea what's going on? I know my teams view me as completely clueless (which is 100% accurate), but whenever I ask for an explanation/they go over something with me, I'm still left feeling like they're speaking a different language. Is it just me? Every time I do a task I get so nervous I'm screwing up big time because it's like I'm stumbling around in the dark. What can I do to improve?

Ok I would love some advice. I just started at a new company this month and I am realizing the position and team isn’t what I want and won’t allow me to grow that much professionally. Im a contractor. Another firm has reached out for 100% remote work for basically a lateral move. I really like where I’m at right now. I’m remote but if I turn to FTE which is very possible later this year I would probably end up having to go in 1 or 2 days a week to NYC. My manager knows this is basically a dealbreaker for me. Should I let my manager know I have another firm reaching out but I really want to stay but I’d need to be a remote FTE? They mentioned several times I’m an asset.
