But how many people did the swine flu kill? We are allowed to be worried for our brothers and sisters in China. Just because it doesn't affect us personally in the US doesn't mean we shouldn't be worried. Have some compassion for your fellow man, eh?
True, but here in the U.S., the vast majority of people I've encounter are freaked out that THEY'RE going to catch it, and they will catch it by shaking the hands of everyone around them who has never been to China. Concern for others and irrational paranoia present very differently.
Not the US. Mexico.

The risk is a novel virus becomes endemic, similar to the flu.
61 million in the US? Dude how are you employed at BCG with statements like that...
Yeah that’s surprising. I don’t know a single person who got swine flu.
Shall the same yardstick will use which were 10+ year back. Is life not evolved better in last 10yrs
Lmao .. I’m done
If you just did some simple math on the death rate of H1N1 (0.2%) vs. coronavirus (~3%) you wouldn’t have posted this.
Oh and like one of the other posters said, the H1N1 originated from Mexico, not the US.
Wuhan cannot get R0 under 1 even with very draconian measures.
Op stick to consulting. COVID-19 a new virus strain; they don’t have a vaccine yet. It’s not bat flu. Or chipmunk flu. You haven’t even factored if it mutates.
