In 2019 I was working a dead-end job with no path forward.

I joined a 5AM motivational/accountability zoom call on a whim and it completely changed my life, socioeconomic status, relationship with my now wife, and career trajectory. I would love to pass on the lessons I learned. Young and old and all walks of life are welcome!

Would anybody be interested in joining me on a 5AM CTZ call M-F? Looking to start mid-December 2022

Sounds like MLM

Or you can share some highlights or Top 3 or 5 things that made an impact?

Thanks for the honesty! I replied below!

Lmao the format of this post reminds me of the investment scam comments that get spammed on YouTube

Fair enough! haha.

This group helped me realize a few things:
I wasn't doing anything that would help me achieve my goal on a day to day basis (health, career, or knowledge growth). Sure I knew before, but when you are held accountable by peers on the same journey it's hard to skip out on your tasks

I also realized that most people will not understand the journey and therefore, stop working for titles and status that you don't really care about. Do you!

I’ll put most of my money on crypto/ Forex scam and hedge it with scientology

I've been holding off posting this because it does sound a little "Self-helpish" and "scammy". Let me elaborate to ease the fishy scent you all are getting.

Every morning a group of us would get on a call led by a Lawyer (I can share more about him later)

We would announce our goals out loud, give a timeframe to achieve the goals, and name one quantitative thing we were going to do that day to achieve the master goal.

Example.
It is Year 2030, I am a xyz at abc and I am doing xxxxx things. As part of my success I am giving back to the community by doing X. Today I am going to do Z.

Then the group would give quick feedback and move on to the next.

No money, no investment, no MLM. Just Accountability and motivation.

Compensation is similar.
Never worked in a big company like zoom before, what are the pros, and the drawbacks?

My partner got a City of Toronto offer. Salary band is 104-121k. HR asked for his expectations and he said 115k. HR came back with a 106k offer stating nobody on the team makes that much so they cant offer it. Also said she is unsure if there is any wiggle room if any at all. I’ve looked at everyone on the team with the same titles salary on the sunshine list and the lowest I see is 121k. I assume there is an OT component of some sort but also can’t confirm. Thoughts? /negotiating advice?

OC has an issue with a financing term that deal teams worked out. Is it unethical to ask deal teams to discuss these terms and instruct us how to proceed? These seems to be business term where counsel can’t work out the differences, without business agreeing.
