What is a pc answer
Your answer is pretty logical. Everyone should evaluate the offer that they get. I'm more curious to know what PC stands for.

PC answer "yeah I'm excited about the role I think it's a great opportunity. Would I take it if I were offered? Umm well idk I'd have to think about that. I think it depends on a couple things: start date and compensation"
Your recruiter relationship? There are a bazillion recruiters out there so don't worry about it. If it doesn't work out with this one then you move on to the next.

OP, that response is perfectly reasonable. You were correct not to be backed into a contingent commitment. That's like a car salesman asking you whether you will buy the car if it is offered to you for $x. As long as you deal with all parties professionally, have reasonable reasons for your decisions, and don't play games or string them along, you will be fine with the recruiter unless the recruiter is very short sighted. He/she probably wants to make sure that you aren't seeking an offer just to obtain a counter offer from your current employer.
