So question is should I transition or wait it out?? Even in the best case scenario I get promoted June and get bumped as much as what I could get if I changed companies now

What are the growth/promotion paths like at the new company? What level would you be coming in at vs your current role? If you can make a straight lateral for higher comp, I'd say it's probably worth it since you are already demonstrating capacity for growth, hence the bigger project role and path to promotion at your current company. You can move over and get a raise + promotion.

So it's mainly money. What % or $ increase? It sounds like the risk of an unknown team, culture, and project loom large for you even though you're secure financially. If those things make you a bit nervous, it might only be worth it for a bigger raise. Personally, I say go for it. The new role could be a good project; if it sucks, prove to yourself that you can do the lead-level work and then reevaluate or push for a better project. And ultimately, you may even be able to return to Accenture at a higher level.

ACN mid year promotions are not guaranteed, especially if you’re in technology

Usually that's true but last year Technology were the recipients of the nice raises. But yea mid years are a black box until Jun1

I am thinking of leaving my stable full time job for a contract position (ongoing with no time frame) for a bigger raise (making an exra $20/hour) with a large tech company. I'll still get benefits through Aquent so it's not a huge loss. It just feels risky in terms of being a contractor and the potential for it to end at anytime. Seems like a good opportunity though to get my foot in the door and potentially apply for full time jobs later on

Need advice. I received an offer from a company after searching for a job for MONTHS and submitting hundreds of applications. Currently unemployed. They are lowballing me by about $20k, on a salary and expect 10-12 hour days, occasional weekends (on top of M-F), and overall no work life balance. I don't want the job, but I financially need it. I finally have heard back from other companies and am expecting to interview, but the offer requires an answer before then. Any advice?

I am an senior associate at a small (8-10 attorneys) immigration firm in NYC. My base is 110k and I get 30% for the cases and clients I bring in. My revenue was 370k last year and I did 250k till April this year. My issue is, I have so much firm's work that I have hard time to work on my cases/clients. It feels like my cases are supposed to be done after hours (like after 6 pm). My work hours are crazy. I feel this is unfair and since my firm's taking 70% of my sales. Should I ask for a raise?

How do you sell an opportunity to the client? What documents do you use?
