Callin bullshit. Not one of you is making +$300k two years out of B-school... Presumably 27 years old.

There's no way those are real at any of the firms

Depressing... Time to go get that MBA.

Agreed and securely not at Accenture. MBAs come in as 3rd year consultant at 135k + 35k signing bonus. Managers make 160k in first year, 170k second year. No chance you can make 300k+ unless you did an executive mba and already have a very high salary

300k comes from the link where they talk about salary progression

Ridiculous amounts of money

For strategy - yes

Can't compare to tech

That sounds about right for tech consulting

The average age entering b-school is 27-28

All one has to do is look at the rate card to figure out how much firms are actually willing and able to pay

Also, you'd start at the low end of that range and be closer to the high end by 2-3 years later... So consultants who make 300k+ are probably around 34 (+/-3 years) when they start making that. Obviously there are exceptions, so there might be one or two 27 year olds out there

Average age at M7's is 27- composition includes as 22/23/24/25's offsetting 30y/o+ students. Plus the range still starts at 250... Presuming your age parameters..... no shot someone 2 yrs out of b school is making +250$

Not sure where the 300K is coming from - MBA's at Accenture get two one time bonuses - a special year 1 performance bonus of up to 35k and if they interned a 50k bonus/tuition reimbursement. But that's only for year 1

I just found out Mitre (husband's company) covers fertility benefits. Breathing a huge sigh of relief as we're doing IVF next month!

I didn't see this online anywhere and wonder if we need to create an excel of IVF supportive companies somewhere. I've only seen lists of top companies, not all companies, with fertility coverage

Starting my 5th year in practice and am a generalist in a mid sized firm. I feel like I don’t match up to my peers sometimes (in terms of exposure to deals, both in volume and size). Worried about my development. Anyone feels this way?
