Still putting it all together. It’s my 1st year and 2 weeks until we start. This is my reading area so far
I wanted to create a space for planning, building, and testing 3rd grade projects. 20 lbs of Lego pieces were donated by a family whose boys had outgrown them. Thank you!!
I am in severe LEGO envy!!!🤣🤣🤣
Your room looks great !
Love the colors!
On this board I created "shelves" by using boxes covered in paper and pinned to the wall with t-pins. I also covered the boxes with fake succulents to add an outdoor-indoor feel.
The blue is very soothing.
My wall of love
Haha at first I thought it said I am Scared! Lol
So far... have a little more to get ready... like a sensory wall (where the blue paper is currently)
What all will you include on the sensory wall? Love that!
An area for standing or leaning
I like how you have a supply cart for each group !
Here's a close up of the previous board. I connected events with literature, movies, artifacts etc. Picture books are great for this whether take out actual pages from the book or xerox and use. Consider using posters with timelines that you can cut and rearrange.
I love your arrangement 😃 What is that between the desks
Nice looks a lot like mine
So cute!
Yes, I have a few. First, get inspiration from store display windows like Anthropologie. Make sure to balance the male-female vibe in colors. Use transparencies to create quote or headings for your walls. This is soooo much simpler and more effective than punch out letters and you can print from a printer or Xerox machine! Just load a transparency sheet into your printer or use a printed master and then run a transparency through the bypass of your xerox machine. Finally, consider creating a WOW bulletin board for later in the year ( I created a WWII board with timeline and memorabilia as an interactive "search" for students with a worksheet.) Then layer a simpler "back to school" board OVER the board that you will "reveal" later and keep for the next year! This the WOW board. I take down the 3D items at the end of the year and cover with a back to school board and then reveal this board the next year with a "scavenger hunt" worksheet which turns into a research assignment based upon student interests.
