At Amazon I was interviewing for 3 different positions at once (3 final loops in a week, ouch). But ultimately I got a choice of roles, what a win
Google will let you get two job offers and the hiring managers get to play hunger games to get you. It’s fun.
At some point Amazon will only let you interview for one once it is in the system. So I’d let them know ahead of time so you aren’t wasting your time.
I worked through two different avenues at Microsoft. Had a recruiter setting me up with different teams and we eventually found one that had mutual interest on both sides that I did a full loop for. In parallel, I had networked to a hiring manager for a different role (outside recruiter) and looped for his position. After I looped for the first one, I made it clear I was in contention for a second one as well (timing was 3-4 weeks apart for actual loops, but scheduling was happening). After I got offers from both roles, I made sure the recruiters were directly in contact with each other. I leveraged them against each other since one was willing to bring me in at a higher level than the other.
