I haven’t started yet, but have had a couple of Accenture PMs reach out regarding open roles for upcoming projects. All meetings have gone fine and promising, only to lead up to a rejection that they’re moving with another resource. Does Accenture move quickly in resourcing for projects?

Do u look handsome?
U guys are taking my question to different level !
Mostly just-starting (up) orgs ask this question.
1. How long you have been married, do you have kids - To ascertain the chances of maternity leave in near future.
2. Where is your husband working - To ascertain if you are ok with their provided location and If your husband has job in different city..
Thanks
Oh this is quite personal, mostly no one asks this type of questions. I feel they were asking might be because they wanted to know how much dedicated time a candidate can give in his work.
Okay, in that sense the questions seems to be relative. They might be having some urgent requirement.
Star-up companies usually ask these kinds of questions. I am a guy and was asked by these. Because, to understand the family situations because it will impact the mindset towards work.
However, if the technical team asks this then we will have to think from another view.
A lot of people don’t know boundaries. Whenever you feel uncomfortable, just politely decline to answer and that too without any reasoning or explanation.
I was asked about my marital status during both the managerial and hr rounds. They also inquired as to my plans for marriage over the following number of years.
I believe the goal is to gauge how dedicated the candidate will be to the new position.
But yes you can always decline to ans if you are not comfortable.
yes they can ask for many reason
like conflict of interest in two companies you n your husband work, like two investment bankers from different companies should not be relative
or like you will be able to support the project fully or not, because sometimes ladies takes household n office together and will be burdened and exhusted that will degrade your performance n delay the project deadlines.
A note to all answerring in sexual angle should sometime look at bigger picture
In one MANAGERIAL round I was asked, if I'm married or have any plans in near future. Then he said, I'm asking as few of our female team members got married, left the job due to city change or other reasons.
I think an HR who is asking questions is just for better screening so that as per their requirement they analyse the proper fitment and get all respective details of the candidate. If anyone is not comfortable they can pass the question politely it's simple !
I was also asked these questions in an interview. I think that is just to understand if you would be asking for maternity leave or not as from business POV, maternity leave is a cost.
I agree it's a personal question however if I was a business owner, i would definitely want someone who can at least give me a year of work.
That being said, this question is a little bias as we all know, women are expected to give more time for child care as compared to men apart from biological reasons. However i don't mind this question as i understand business POV.
If you are uncomfortable with such questions, then please look for more organisations. Not every HR/Manager asks this, I recently gave 3 interviews and no one asked me that.
This happened to me when I joined cognizant in 2015..Hr asked me Are you married I said yes then she asked Any kids?I said no ..then asked Married since? .Then she told me that we are hiring you for a critical project so please at least 6 months ignore family planning and said I am joking...and the same thing she told my friend also ..We both joined cogni. together..and after 8 months that gi put the Maternity Leave :)
I think it is to check if you are ok with relocation. Maybe to check if there is any chance to go back to native place very soon leaving the job.
