In interview process for non tech (ops) role. 9 years of experience all of which is directly related to the role. No MBA. What level should I be shooting for?

Currently making 100k as a Consultant in Houston, have an offer for 180k Product Manager role in Oregon, was excited by the salary increase but looking at the COL in Oregon and considerably smaller desi community (for my wife and newborn daughter) , think I should stay put in Texas, what are y’all thoughts on this

Has anyone been told to leave the day they give notice when not leaving for a competing firm? Trying to gauge best time to give notice to avoid being staffed on a ton of cases but also want to maximize pay. I am quitting the law altogether and not going to another firm. Two associates in my group just went on mat leave.

Heard a rumor that Google has stopped hiring. Can any googlers confirm?

Interviewed for S&O role and wanted to share. Recruiter told me to expect problem solving and stakeholder comm, behavioral and case type questions… It ended up being one 25-min interviewee-led case. I was surprised given all that I had read online about RRK and GCA and Googleyness and the pride Google has in its “unbiased”interview process… it felt like any other MBB interview where your case interviewer decides your fate… guess S&O is just like any consulting firm…

What does SME stand for in the context of roles? (The only SME ik is small and medium enterprises which doesn’t seem to make sense in EY’s context) I’ve seen it used multiple times and still no idea what it means

How many roles did you apply to before securing a an interview? I applied to ~10 roles in the past 6 months, got 1 interview last December (didn’t go well and didn’t clear the first round HM interview) — should I continue applying? I have a referral btw!

PSA: when asking questions, mentioning role, geo and level helps others give a more informed answer. The process for SWE differs vastly from CE or PgM or finance roles. Levels play a role but are generally optional (unless it’s regarding comp). Geo can help esp for non-US stuff, and on team match difficulties.
