In interviewing for new roles I feel like my weak point is a lack of case studies that show data driven iteration. The problem is, despite me preaching and coaching to product managers and product directors about setting outcomes, success metrics, a/b testing, etc our product teams don’t work that way. Most of the time the response is a chuckle and a “At [this company]? What are we, a tech company?”

Anyway, this is mostly a rant but if you have any nuggets of wisdom, drop them below

I have a panel interview: a presentation/role play of a kick-off meeting with new customer at exec level. For a CSM role. I'm comfortable with these in real life but fake/role play ones are always awkward. Any advice for me?

How easy/difficult it is to change base location in SAP. I interviewed for a position where I have given preferred location as gurgaon but I was offered a position in Bangalore . It's a good role and i have really less experience so I didn't want to let go of the opportunity. I want to know how easy will it be to change location to Gurgaon as my husband and inlaws are really unhappy with the decision and might force me to lose this opportunity.

Currently interviewing with Amazon for an associate corporate counsel role. After the first round, I was quickly moved on to the written exercise but its now been a month since I submitted it and I haven’t received any update on my application despite following up with HR once. Hi guys, just wanted some recommendations. I was previously in retail sales as a manager and just got a job offer for an entry level position with Citi Bank Fraud Ops. It’s a call centre position that’s way below what I used to get paid but it gets me out of retail and into banking industry with is aligned more with my job. Received a written offer from Amazon 4 wks ago, pushed for higher level, reinterview. HM supported it but couldn’t get it done. My og offer went from start date of oct 10 to Jan 3rd. Recruiter said the numbers are locked. I couldn’t reach the HM. Running out of time I accepted. I contacted the HM again saying yay! I accepted. I Have been ghosted for 5 days. Recruiter said background check should come via email soon. Haven’t seen anything. Weirdest experience ever. Why wouldn’t the HM reply?

🤦‍♀️My stepdaughter fried her gaming pc. We were moving and it sat in the cold and damp in the car for 4 days. We told her to let it warm up and dry out before plugging it in but she didn't wait. The ups was screaming as soon as she plugged it in, the she proceeded to turn it on. We know the power supply is gone, but what are the chances the graphics card is fried? We were able to get a replacement for the rest, but the graphics cards are hard to get according to the store.

When looking for Associate Program Management roles, all the searches come up as Business Analyst. I’m a systems engineer with 3 YOE so would moving to a business analyst be a step in the wrong direction? I feel like I don’t have enough YOE for a program manager role.
