In LMM growth equity and want to move to UMM/MF. Is IB at a BB the way to go?

Anyone here into technical Consultancy. I am looking for a suggestion/advise as where does this leads to after years (5-7) of experience. What’s the career ladder onwards?

Thinking about leaving Account for a digital Production gig. A lot of account skills are transferable but at the same time, I’ve never been a producer so the idea is kinda intimidating.
Thoughts?

With all these folks quitting, where are they going? What are they doing? I'm 50+, so the idea of quitting my job with no immediate prospects scares the crap out of me. I get wanting to be happy, heck, I've changed jobs twice since COVID started, but just outright not working, I don't get it.

I’m an industry senior, manager is retiring in 2 months & new tax director is joining this week. Have been at company for 15 months. Considering talking to HR & new director for a plan to grow my career at this company; company is growing & likely we will need 2 more ppl at associate/senior levels (we have 1 associate). What is a realistic time frame to set for promotion to manager & what goals should I be setting? Company is tiered partnership, acquiring new businesses & operates multi-state.

Anyone know of a good resource(s) to find more information on the different accounting/industry jobs out there?

In your honest opinion, do you think your HR certification was worth it? I personally think certifications are a scam. 😅

I rarely have been asked about my certs in interviews and I never ask about certs when I'm interviewing.

What are some jobs to look at if I want to get out of HCM implementation consulting? Preferably not system admin or config related. As a note I’m a senior and been at this gig for ~6 years.

Do VC funds value consulting experience? Weighing staying in Big 4 consulting vs going to a startup, while I try to crack into VC

With a background in biopharmaceutical (masters - no phd) with some industry experience, how easy is it to get a position at a VC firm?

Any one here who moved from big law to in house regretting it or does every one think it’s the best choice they ever made...even if there was a slight pay cut?

I had recently attended the interview at IQVIA for sql developer position, but when I received the offer letter the designation mentioned there is "Software engineer- technical operations 130'.

Just wanted to know if this is some kind of a production support role.

Hello all. Looking for thoughts and opinions. I’ve been a sales manager with a small company (I refuse to say it is a start up anymore since they bring in several million in ARR). I’ve been with them for a year and a half. I started at 50k and now make 63k. I am a full-cycle sales manager…the company does not believe in the use of BDRs. There’s no opportunity for growth. Is my salary fair (per MA standards)? I was promised high OTE… but with no marketing team I also hardly get leads.

Industry Advice: I am currently in a Commercial P&C CSR broker position working with manufacturing and staffing clients. I am working towards a promotion within my same team in the near future but an Account Manager position has opened up now in the construction space within our office. Should I voice my interest in the construction AM role even though I have a limited amount of construction experience or wait the six months for the AM position on my current team?

I’m a data engineer/engineering manager by trade and massively screwed up by going into MBB consulting, I absolutely despise it and am looking to leave about 8 months in. I have a great offer from a fortune 50 for product management in tech at a similar salary, way more RSU’s but can’t shake off the thought that I wouldn’t be an engineer anymore. Any advice from you guys to help get past my anxiety and just pull the trigger?

After 8 months of searching, 239 job apps, 22 screens, 12 HM calls, 8 on sites, and 4 offers, I am finally leaving banking for an industry role with a normal wlb, and with a 40k TC kicker to boot. Today, another email was sent that no one is forced to do that because they said everyone can work from home till the end of this year.. I am confused. I’ve been an LPN for 8 years, predominately in pediatrics, both in patient and home healthcare. I’ve worked in medical offices for 10+ years before that. I was looking to explore options outside of bedside nursing/direct patient care, do I have many options? I saw another similar post but the OP is an RN, and I didn’t know how much that information would apply to me as an LPN.

Them: MM PE buyout fund, no specific industry focus. Most recent fund $2.5B+, AUM $5B+

Role: VP of Operations, joining an Ops team that will be ~10 people total top to bottom

Offer: $200 base, $150 bonus, and ‘carry’ that is actually just a deal performance-based cash payment that is awarded to non-carry individuals (cont)
