Anyone here did or in the process of doing a PhD in Data Science related programs? Pure Data Science, Applied Statistics, Machine Learning...? I'm applying to a couple universities at the moment but my research interest is still a very vague concept in my head (I just know id like to do something in the retail field but not a specific DS area yet). Would really appreciate any tips on how to identify a research area and what kind of DS research areas could be useful future applications in retail?
The new expense mobile app is actually useful and user friendly. I'm honestly a little shocked and confused... Have we finally figured this mobile thing out for internal apps?
If a creative team was hired together, is it better or worse for them to ask for a raise together instead of individually? Or does it make a difference?
Anyone think it's odd how few goodbye emails we have gotten this round? Supposedly 15% of advisory is getting the boot... Expected more based on February FS layoffs
How much does a 1st year SM (S&O) make in base and bonus (e.g. for a 2 rating) who started as a MBA campus hire?
I expecting to receive an offer letter this afternoon and to walkthrough it with the hiring managers. I will also have a phone call with HR later this week for any additional questions. I gave my expected salary range (pretty wide and aggressive) during the interview process but haven’t talked specifics. I assume negotiations happen with HR instead of the hiring manager? Anyone have any insight? Thank you so much. First time interviewing outside of college
Which cellular carrier is the best in Chicago? Does anyone have 5G from T-Mobile? Thinking of switching from Verizon.
I've been laid off from D. I'm seeking a similar role, "Resource Manager" or "Engagement Staffing Manager". To summarize, the role entails working with business managers to help fill open roles, providing available staff, and forecasts, etc.; and working with practitioners as they near or land on the bench. Do other consulting firms, such as EY, PWC, Accenture, etc. have such positions? If so, what are titles do they have? I'm seeking alternative search terms.
OK, biggest fuck up of your career? Mine: I didn’t check the final proof for a supermarket print ad so there was a fridge on sale for 50 bucks. Almost got fired. Yours?
Anyone done the SPG platinum challenge? How long after staying your 18th night did the status kick in?
What’s the on site vs office vs WFH situation in India for consulting companies? I believe many companies have the official policy to allow WFH and give accommodations as needed, but also prioritize client needs. Particularly curious about those whose clients have started going back to the office.
