In my first trimester with my first. My husband and I are celebrating our wedding anniversary next month and wanted to travel somewhere for 3-5 days. Usually we go to a resort, but decided we wanted to stay within the US, under a 3-4 hour flight (we're in Chicago). I would love a pool, less crowds, and delicious food. Any suggestions on location/hotel? Thanks!

This may be unpopular but Phoenix is cool. They have quite a few really nice resorts (look at Marriott), you can do some easy hikes and they have the best pizza in the country at Pizzeria Bianco. If you like Chef’s Table on Netflix, the first episode of their new pizza series is about this place. I can vouch - it’s worth the hype. He also has a few other places and they have great southwestern food.

We almost went there for our anniversary/babymoon in May but ended up going to Maui.

Congrats and have fun! 💕

Which week are you and when are you travel? Just be mindful that between 7-10 weeks at least you could be experiencing morning sickness and lack of breath. Not everybody does but I experienced during a trip at my family home and I divided my time between my childhood bed and bathroom for a week 🤢 and I was lucky at least to be in a familiar place
