Agree with 👆- you are never ready. I am 9 months pregnant (early 30s) and shitting myself. Take the time to be a couple and let things develop naturally. My only advice is to try for kids - if you want to have them - sooner because if there are problems to conceiving you’ll know earlier rather than later.
Come work for us. We give 6 months primary caregiver leave in the US and pay 100% for benefits
Worry doesn't actually produce anything. At worst, it just sets you back even further. Keep doing your best.
Maybe look into the parental leave benefits your agency does or does not offer and the out of pocket costs for labor and delivery that will vary depending on your insurance (which I wish I had known about before baby 1.)
You may even consider talking to other coworkers who are also parents that you admire to check on their experience.
But honestly this topic is so loaded that you're going to get all kinds of advice whether you want it or not. And the quality really runs the gamut. Go with your gut. First lesson of parenthood!
