In need of a hoteling software to go along with our new flex work policies, so that team members coming to the office can reserve their desk. Any suggestions of what works and what doesn’t? Budget is not an issue.

We’ve been using AgilQuest. Haven’t used it enough yet to provide a good rating but it seems fine.

If you have a Travel Program in place you can leverage meeting space software and integrations to achieve this. If you need help let me know.

I feel guilty about this, but I don’t connect with anyone I don’t know on LinkedIn. I used to accept everyone, but have been asked a couple times if I could vouch for said person; and then having to reply that I actually never worked or know them at all, they are just someone I connected with randomly.

I do however connect if they write a simple message, otherwise I leave it on ignore. I prefer an email, which I always reply to younger talent with.

Sorry for not accepting your LI connection.

If you left Biglaw, was it important to you to tell certain colleagues directly, as opposed to letting them hear it through the grapevine? I plan to tell my closest colleagues and most people working on my teams, but I know word will get out before I reach everyone, so I don’t feel the need to be exhaustive in my outreach. Interested in other thoughts….

We just brought a guy onto our team who specializes in Data Science and Machine Learning.

He's really the only guy on our BI team who has studied it and can do the work. Existing members of the team are interested in furthering their analytical skills and learning Machine Learning, but the new guy seems pretty closed off to showing them his work or teaching them.

The guy has worked hard; he went to top 10 schools for undergrad and grad, and has openly mentioned that the sacrifice...cont

I’m planning on leaving my firm at the end of the year. I feel like I made a big mistake accepting my EA role at my company. I was told I would not be doing personal errands often for the CEO, but now I am picking his daughter up from school and getting his designer curtains custom hemmed. Coworkers have included me in their projects, & he is now removing me from those bc “they take up too much of my time”, when they are the only tasks I enjoy bc I am actually adding value to the company. Idk what to do bc he “seems to be my way or the highway”.

Do any of you have experience with pushy coworkers? The kind who won't let you do anything without them "helping" even after you say "I've got this"? I can handle stocking the shelves by myself. So frustrating

From day 1 I have never felt accepted and have ignored several inappropriate comments made by manger.

It feels like everyone has gotten so down on advertising. You can still make great work for great brands at great agencies. You can still do things you’re proud of. And fill your portfolios with beautiful things. And have great impact. And collect shiny awards and enjoy great after parties after it. And see your commercials on TV during the Super Bowl. It’s still a great way to make a living if done right. And craft services is still tasty. You just have to make the right career moves.

I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance.
I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members.
Does anyone have other suggestions on training/credentialing in this area?
