Have 2 YOE and work in risk assurance (ORM focused) at a mid size firm making 88k base salary after recently being promoted to senior consultant. I feel like both my experience and pay have been limited in comparison to a big 4. Is this true? Would like to get thoughts from individuals working at B4 as I have been contemplating applying to a B4.
In a COVID environment, has anyone received an offer and presented it to leadership to either match or asked for additional compensation? How did it work out?

18.5 fixed + variable (% not defined)
1.5 joining bonus
25LPA ( Including variable ie: monthly, quarterly & incentive)
Position: Senior Consultant
21 LPA (11% variable)
Hr confirmed that variable be 100% paid once in 6 months
Relevant yoe: 9.10
Cctc: 13.8 (11.5% variable)
Please suggest which one to choose. Confused a bit. Priority: 1) Growth 2) wlb 3) Amount.

Up for promo ~12 months post joining, with initial hit in comp being mitigated with signing bonus. Would be a bump as soon as promo goes through.
However would mean ~1yoe seniority loss (although quite early in career)

Realizing why agencies are still struggling to find enough Business Affairs employees. And know several people who this has happened to. One is pay. Salaries have been going up the last year or two. And some agencies aren’t raising their pay as fast as others. But another big factor is employers are trying to find candidates that check every box. I’m finding that a weird side effect of losing my job in this climate is ad agencies taking advantage of my weakened position. They get in touch, proactively or in response to my reaching out, and they want to hire me as they are in good shape. When I reveal I was laid off, the offer changes to freelance or maybe nothing. My work, awards, the fact that they know me and approached me in the first place should be enough. I don’t want to lie about my situation. Any ideas how to avoid this?

I’m actively looking for a new role as a finance director but it seems like the more senior you become the lines are blurred with an expectation to be engaged with work on personal time. I want to progress in my career. I also don’t live to work. What are your thoughts?
Starting to look for a part time nanny now we’re going back to office (3 days a week). Total newbs here and just starting the process. One potential nanny asked for PTO and vacation days (and being paid if we don’t need her one of the agreed upon days). This makes sense, but is this typical? I’m in LA.

Regardless, you should stick up for yourself. If you feel comfortable speaking with your supervisor and believe they will be a good advocate for you, approach them and be honest - this is something that has been on your mind for a while, but you weren’t sure how to approach the conversation. List out the tasks you have been working on that correspond to your “changed” Data Analyst title and explain that you only accepted the salary / pay off based on what was originally presented to you as a Data Entry Specialist roles and its corresponding tasks.
If you don’t feel comfortable talking to your supervisor, find a work colleague you feel comfortable with and have them accompany you to HR. Have the same conversation with HR as outlined above and ask what can be done about current compensation and backpay since your starting period.
Additionally, refer back to the terms written and laid out in your contract. If the role is spelled out at Data Entry Specialist, you have a written means for action. Are there any clauses that address breach of agreement?
Beside Position Title it says Data Entry Specialist in the contract, but on the work website it states my Position Title as Data Analyst. The contract does mention “Furthermore, nothing in this letter or within the company’s policies or procedures, either now or in the future, is intended to change the at-will nature of our relationship.” I don’t want to be let go for questioning the salary.
