In NYC for the first time for a few client meetings. Any must see / must do while I’m here?

My client’s site got hacked yesterday. I didn’t see any actual signs of impending attack. But knowing how little we do for cyber security when building a site, I knew we must have been vulnerable in some way. I’ve tried pushing for more cybersecurity measures in the last year, but being a Jr, I don’t know a lot about it. My manager had brushed it off as something that would be nice to look into if [insert excuses not to here]. Can’t push it off any longer. I’m afraid heads are gonna roll.Advice?

What would you like your CD to do to help you with your craft (beyond feedback on your project work)? Obviously assume no training budget at this crazy time.

I am currently working as a senior connsultant in my project. My work is to supervise and help my team members overcome any hurdles or help them put away blockers. But I dont want to do this, instead I want a direct client facing role(onshore oppurtunity). How do I tell my director about it in a humble way, so that he doesn't get a wrong picture of me. There are other Sr.Cons as well in the team,but I am not sure whether they want onshore oppurtunity or not.

What is the consensus on whether to mention in depo reports to a client that a Plaintiff or witness is attractive? I know its inappropriate, but we can't deny that kind of thing matters to jurors and should be part of any consideration of settlement, right?

How many of us are working on a project where the project manager has little idea about the tasks and the efforts involved to complete those tasks??

I left my old firm and started my own firm in September. I have already started to get client referrals and so far I am working from my home only - because it’s COVID time and people know Zoom now. I do estate planning and elder law, which lends itself to meeting clients at their locations when needed. I had a client drop off documents I need to review at my house this week and this was fine with the client. Do any attorneys here open their own home to clients ever for meetings?

I have a situation in front of me. I got an offer from small company or we could say startup company Uzio (pdt based) and my manager in current company didn't revert back with any retaining offer. It's been a month and 27 days left in np.
My dilemma is that my current team including reporting manager are very rude and not supportive. I don't want to work in this project. But if I join in that startup company, there's a risk as everyone is talking about recession, firing. Suggestions?

For example, I recently spent about an hour setting up rules in Outlook to auto-filter junk emails and non-urgent emails (client alerts, data room notifications, bar association emails, etc.) into a separate folder that I can check a couple times a day. Don’t know how I didn’t think to do this years ago, but that’s about 50 fewer distractions each day since I’m one of those people who checks every email notification.
