In our current job climate, is it possible to get a foot in the door at a biotech investment firm without an MD or PhD? How?

Pretty highly rated consistently and up for director this year. For years been thinking of starting a business (franchise). Pandemic has put a dent in that but still viable option. Gross profit is 350k (median) and a line of business I’d be very interested in. Clearly this is less pay than new parter (but could open more than one eventually) and risk may be higher for failure. Need your advise: Employer filed for Manager role - PERM approved May2021 ; however, I-140 was not filed bec I was not promoted this yr. Employer wanted to restart PERM for Senior role. This means staying for that role until I get GC.
