I know a lot of very unhappy account people. I don’t know a lot of unhappy designers. Anecdotes aside, I think one is much more extroverted/game face/after hours, and the other is more independent/BTS/only sporadic game face. See which feels more tiring or sustainable to you. You can make excellent money in both.

Depends where you are in your career. Beginning or middle, I would choose the one that is more challenging and allows you to grow more. If you want to stay where you are and don't care to make more or do more, then do what makes you most comfortable.

Have anyone done contracting negotiations before? I've interviewed for co A & B and co A extended an offer today. The offer does not meet my current salary. Co B's interview structure is 3 rounds and I've finished my 2nd round today. The recruiter mentioned that since I am a contractor my current salary is incomparable as they will provide benefits, etc. Is this true? I have 2 yrs of contracting HR exp from fortunate 500 co’s & OMW to get my SHRM-CP. Appreciate your advice in advance.

I have 2 offers: 1. PwC US for the Manager position. 2. Infosys for the Senior consultant position. Both offered same base salary (around 150,000 USD) PwC has huge signing bonus. Have to join Infosys as H1 transfer is already done and I already resigned from TCS by the time PwC offer was finalized. Once PwC H1 transfer is done then should I leave Infosys within 2-3 months after joining or should I continue with Infosys and decline PwC offer?

Looking at making a move from a top 20 city to PNW farm style living. Work from home permanently and live peacefully. I'd be close enough to SEA that I'd be able to make it work if I had to (ie if remote ops reversed course) Anyone thinking similar or already done so? Also, has anyone sold their house to an institutional buyer? Obviously, you may get less cash, but it will also take longer to sell, so you are paying holding costs, etc and taking on more market risk.
