How can I support ELL families?
Even in the hybrid classroom, I stay behind my desk so I can “see” the kids online and I don’t want to get too close to students in person. I force myself to take a walk around the building during my prep, even though there are a million things on my to do list. It helps both my physical and mental health.
Just enough to get to the fridge and back.
Nearly 20k every day.
A small group working on our campus power out a quick loop around the parking lot between classes...both physically healthy and a quick therapy session👍
I have a peddler under my desk. Did 8,000 just on that today.
I’m walking in the morning and sometimes after school, striving to hit that 10,000 daily and usually do. However, it has to be much more conscious. Before, they just added up. We’re 100% remote right now, but are returning to hybrid in a week.
Not many. Trying to get out and walk in morning and definitely at night after sitting all day, but definitely not like at work
I'm in the classroom but sit in front of the computer all day. I may get 2k in if I'm lucky. I have never been more tired in my life and never been so sedentary either.
Just went hybrid and my steps went to almost 10k a day. I can tell I wasn't getting them in, I fall asleep around 7 when I'm trying to grade.
8:47 am and I’m already over 4K. However, in addition to teaching (music) I also own a gym. I’ve been up and moving since 3:45 am. This is daily for me and I typically get around 15k steps a day.
I am still getting 6k to 8k a day. I need to remind myself to move.
Now that the weather is cooling it is a little easier to walk after school hours. I am exhausted from this schedule - it is stressful trying Togo and stay in touch with students/parents, daytime, evenings, weekends. Some parents are very appreciative and respectful, but others are rude and angry. It is a very stressful time. I try to take a quick walk between classes.
I am able to drink a lot more water while I am teaching from home, so I get all my steps in by running to the bathroom.

I had that issue too. When we started hybrid, I got 12k steps my first day back! I wasn’t as sluggish all day and burned way more calories. I definitely miss that.
Take lots of walks around the block. I had the same issue!

Easily 10k+ We are hybrid, and it's all I can do to get caught up with everything.
I am working from home for health reasons. I barely get 2,000 steps a day. I definitely force myself to workout every night just so my legs don’t atrophy! 😂
I used to be at 12-14k a day, now I’m happy to hit a 8-10k. I try to take a walk/tech break during lunch.
Sane here! I was up to 18k! Now maybe 6k!!! Ugh
I have 3/4 of my class online...then social distancing. I’m averaging about 4,000 🤦🏻♀️
