If you’re not getting enough sleep, I’d recommend addressing that first. Do you feel like you’re being jolted awake and that’s the cause of the stress? You could try a gradual alarm or sunrise alarm clock that gently wakes you.
While the irritability could be attributed to some chemical imbalance/medical issue, it’s probably more mental if it’s not persistent throughout the day. I’d suggest stopping and thinking through the feelings when you experience them. What’s causing the feelings? Are you annoyed/stressed by the day ahead, something that happened in the recent past? If it’s truly random, maybe try some gratitude journaling and mindfulness to reset your outlook.
This. Alarms with buzzing or beeping stress me out. I used to use a clock that would play radio/music so that my brain could gradually recognize what I was hearing and it wasn’t so jarring. My current clock doesn’t have radio so I picked the least aggressive option: bird chirping. My husband hates it (LOL) but I think it’s great.

Put chocolate next to your bed and pop a piece first thing for the seratonin/sugar bump?
I take HTP5 (vitamin) before bed, and wake up with the sleep app (wakes you up at the best moment or the last time)
How does it know when to wake you?

I used to feel very irritated if I’m woken up before my sleep was ‘complete.’ Basically, if I sleep longer, go to bed earlier and get plenty of sleep and wake up naturally, without an alarm, I feel good. This is the only way I have been able to feel good in the morning.
