Always go through with interviews... literally playing with house money as you have nothing to lose. & the experience could prove invaluable
Always take the interview. Company A not company B need to know the chronology. If company B comes back with a fantastic offer, then you have a better problem to solve.
Coach
Go through with the interview. You can always go to company B.
Are you in the US? If so, it’d assume you’re at will? Well.... so is company A.
Coach
I am facing the exact same senario. Delay and take the offer from A. Continue your planned interview with B and build the relationship. You will never know how your career at A will pan out. There could be an oportunity to join B down the road if they like you and present you an offer. Does not hurt to have options in this day and age.
I’m the same Situation. But what if company A lowers the offer if they did want to wait for you for that long? What if they don’t wait, and you end up not getting an offer from company B?
Mentor
Bad move. Listen to everyone else in thread. You should interview and do your best to get another offer. You’re not being disingenuous to anyone else.
Their feelings won’t be hurt if you go with company B after. They’ll pick up where they left off and interview 10 more willing candidates.
