Yes. You have the right to ask. They have the right to not answer

like

Yes - speaking from experience.

absolutely! And if you aren’t given an answer, find a new daycare!

Yes. My dentist asked if I’m fully vaccinated… You can ask and if they don’t answer, it’s likely they aren’t.

like

Yes precisely. Anyone who evades answering has hangups about vaccines in a global pandemic, which means they almost certainly didn’t get one

like

Yes, absolutely. A daycare aged child cannot yet be vaccinated. Anything with the potential to affect your child’s health is your business. I’m surprised the center isn’t actively volunteering that information.

like

A right to know? I'd say no. A right to ask? Of course, just as they have a right to not answer you, the same as if you asked any other question about their medical information.

If you’re gonna ask about vax then also ask if they have already been naturally infected

IMHO, yes

Can anyone share their experience with having a child with a congestive heart failure? My child is having trouble gaining weight as a result (1lb a month at most) She's five months old and has a large ASD and smaller VSD. We are being monitored by a ped cardio. She'll need surgery in the future but they aren't sure when as she's fine overall. Can any of you share how u helped your child thru this? How did surgery go etc? I'm just so stressed and terrified about it all.

So far I’ve been through 1 IVF cycle. I have one embryo that is frozen waiting for transfer. My doctor is wanting me to do another round of IVF to back eggs for baby number two down the road. Has anyone been through this? I know of two people around my age that got pregnant naturally with their second baby after IVF. Does anyone know about banking embryos for future use instead of transferring? My insurance doesn’t cover anything so all this of out of pocket.

I hope this administration implements Federal parental leave. I don't understand how and why we still tout ourselves as the greatest country in the world, and we don't even have basic paid parental leave.

For moms in California - can anyone explain to me how the FMLA/Paid Leave works in coordination with EY’s sixteen weeks? It seems that all the new moms take 6 months and I’m trying to figure out how that works if we’re only given 16 weeks. My husband and I are currently waiting for an adoption placement so I have no idea when I’ll need to use it, but I’m hoping it’s sometime soon :) Since I’m not actually pregnant, asking these questions feels weird, but I keep reminding myself it’s okay. TIA!

Senior, pregnant and worried about busy season because half the seniors in my practice quit in the past two months. Directors have said to seniors “brace yourself”. I am already stressed and high risk and off my ADHD meds and struggling a lot to get work done. Is it worth taking maternity leave early and “screwing over” my teams? I feel guilty. Doctor suggested to take medical leave if I am struggling. Need advice 😢

Our nanny takes my 7 month old out for one, sometimes 2, long walks every day (weather permitting). Love the idea of fresh air every day but its often for several hours at a time and he always returns home crying bc she's pushed him to his limit between feedings. She brushes it off saying hes just fussy which kind of irks me. Im also concerned that he's spending too much time strapped in a stroller. Is it reasonable to ask her to take shorter walks? Am I overreacting?

I am due to take 2 weeks parental leave sometime in the next month and have an offer lined up. Is it better to tell the new place I would prefer to push my start date to take my leave and join two weeks after (accounting for 2 weeks of notice when I get back)? Would that be burning a bridge with current firm (taking leave and giving notice as soon as I am back)? I want to avoid losing 2 weeks of salary during that time if I can.
