I am am Asian woman. I started a discussion about how we could improve our diversity and inclusion efforts on my UX team. I offered a possible solution. Out of a team of 14, only 4 responded, 2 female in support, 2 male with lukewarm and hostile responses. The silence is deafening from the rest of the team (all male). I don't want to be here anymore. I attribute this to being in Utah, majority white. Is it like this everywhere? Or if I change jobs, will it be better?
Diversity of input increases quality of output.. but does it really take 10 people to review one slide? Worst 30 minutes of my week.

Is it fine to post a link to an open position in this forum? I’m the hiring manager and am looking to improve our teams diversity.
Do you guys use ”Hi guys” in the office to address everyone irregardless of gender or is that banned?
I’ve been hanging with a coworker and their significant other a lot lately and I’m starting to get a crush on my coworker’s partner...and I think it might be mutual bc there’s a slight sensual tension whenever it’s just the two of us talking I left out gender on purpose just in case my coworker is on here lmao
Anyone have first hand experience working at Ryan, LLC? Pay/Culture/Leadership/Diversity etc..
Diversity and inclusion is everywhere. Take the bachelor for example - Deandra, Kiarra, Tammy, Shiann etc., are all part of the show just for the sake of it. Peter never calls them on 1 on 1s (1/2)

How would you make the business case for adding more diversity to the workforce. I think we take it as a given that people will support this, but some people need to see $$ and #s to be moved.
Call it “diversity theater”: the many PR rituals and bureaucracies obscuring the line between the value of diversity and how companies actually treat their marginalized employees trying to make a change.
“39% of our new hires and 11% of our senior leaders are women.”@Mckinsey http://www.wsj.com/articles/for-a-company-to-achieve-gender-diversity-the-ceo-cant-do-it-alone-1443600381
I have an outlook folder named 'crap’ to auto route useless communications from certain people/ groups. That list is now 20+. I guess it’s time to create ‘crap 2’ for diversity
My company did an analysis of the diversity of our outside counsel based on hours billed and spend. Women billed more than half the hours but were far less than half the spend 😒
thoughts on this inclusion thing? As a minority it seems to be a publicity stunt... for the pictures and social media posts... Just confused about why we are still talking about what needs to get done
Not in GPS, but I do get the emails from Dan Helfich and I just want to say he seems like a helluva leader. He comes across as authentic and genuinely invested in diversity and well being of his ppl.
Since George Floyd's murder and the sudden Corporate America "wokeness," I (black guy) have been routinely contacted by unacquainted Partners who explicitly state something to the effect "Client X wants diversity, so we'd like you on this deal..." It really comes across as tone deaf and completely patronizing. I appreciate the efforts to diversity (albeit forced), but Partners really need to learn how to not be so supercilious in the approach. You don't have to overtly state that I'm the quota.
I have the opportunity to move to a small boutique data science and data engineering consulting firm that would pay better with less hours. However, would it stunt my growth without a big 4 tag? It has more opportunities for technical growth and certifications but will push me into a more specialized role. I am mostly worried about the trade off between staying until Manager or upper senior and cashing out then. Does anyone have insight on how the two may differ in future career opportunities?
I was interviewing for an industry role I really liked (not my dream job but checked most boxes), let’s call this job1. The same day as my 2nd round interview for job1 a recruiter from another company I had applied to that would be an otherwise solid exit (more money, better brand) reached out to set up an interview, I’ll call this job2. I told job1 at the time that I did not have a timeline and was not interviewing elsewhere. Job1 let me know about a week ago that I would be moving along (cont)
Recruiter from KF reached out for an Associate Principal role with ZS Associates. Said AP’s pull total comp of ~$1M. Glassdoor shows AP comp around 300k. Can anyone comment on validity? Don’t want to waste my time or theirs if the recruiter is just playing games. (Health Payer Digital / VBC)
Is 120k an acceptable salary for Dallas, Texas? I’m taking a pay cut to move there from San Francisco
Any deloitte fishes in Spain? What's the salary range for managers in the cybersecurity division?
Hi Folks, Hope everyone is doing good and staying safe!!! I have given my interview on 28th May and hr discussion and documents upload was happened on 30th May. It has been two weeks but I did not get offer letter. Recruiter is not responding to my calls and emails. I am a lateral hire. Can anyone help me to get offer letter. Thanks in advance...
I’m not currently looking for a change (I left for industry in 2020 and really like my job). When recruiters message me on LinkedIn I reply to them because you never know when I’ll be open in the future and I don’t want to burn bridges. This one recruiter messaged me about 6 weeks ago for an assistant controller position and I replied back saying I’m currently happy with my job and am a VP of Accounting so wouldn’t be interested in an assistant controller role. He has reached out every 2 weeks
Just got a lateral hire offer for a Sr Associate role with BCG. Contract states that I can go for Consultant promo in 12 months. I'm interpreting this as, if I don't make the promo threshold in 12 months, I'd be counseled out. Is this a reasonable assumption? Or would I get a few more months of time to work on feedback? I'm nervous - should I be? :(
I love the feeling of applying for a new job and imagining myself with a more prestigious title, it’s an adrenaline rush. Anyone else?

I am so tired of work. Hate waking up each morning, knowing all the work in store for the day. Vacation helps but only temporary. Been at this job for 8 years now... maybe need a serious career change into non consulting or something completely different. But hard to jump due to steady salary growth each year.
Anybody know what comp for a senior manager strategy role at Disney looks like? I have an intro call with a recruiter and looking for some insights into what to ask / expect. Please and thanks!
Can the notice period in TCS be negotiated to one month or to some lesser period other than 3 months?

For a person working in Tech Strategy at accenture, does it require travel and if so how much? (When it’s safe to travel again)
Not work related but idk where to ask this. We’ve been invited to our first post Covid cookout. It’s at my husband’s former colleagues place so we don’t the hosts too well but we know there are not going to be any kids so mostly a grown up football party. What would bring to it? Because of the current scenario I’m skeptical of bringing my home cooked dip.
