I’ve heard good things about financial controller roles. I don’t think my gig is too bad either.

^ do you have a background in machine learning / grad degrees? Thanks!
LP side / FoFs
I enjoy what I do now, but for all the shit compliance people get they have amazing WLB. I did a temp gig when I first started, my managers made six figures, low stress& strict 9-5. Only downside is not challenging
Corp Dev all the way
What don’t you like about your position?
Work life balance is big for me. This role just doesn't prioritize my time.
Commercial Banking whether it be as an analyst, lender or portfolio manager. Traditional work days (i.e. 9-5) pays fairly well and you get all of the bank holidays off. Also, for the most part, you can come and go as you please within reason.

Seriously?
Hello, what do you guys think is the best entry strategy to get into PE,VC or IB in the UK for an international student who has worked in investment management and treasury roles abroad? I have my MSc and ACA certification too.
Assuming PE deal team is the goal, I'd start in IB (MM or BB) - an MSc is pretty meaningless for the purposes of getting an advantage in getting into any of either PE or IB (lots of people have them). It may help for VC if you're going for a sector specialist and the MSc is in a relevant subject. ACA's a a better one, but to get into PE you'll likely need a couple of years of IB analyst (M&A preferable) experience first, depending on your investment management experience. You could also go for a CorpDev role in a PE-backed firm if that's of interest (lower pay but better WLB)
